Flame detectors are used in conjunction with Siemens combustion controllers for monitoring gas or fuel flames.
This type of flame detector monitors flame signals generated by UV radiation emitted by gas or fuel flames.
The radiation detector is a UV phototube with two electrodes. 
UV will not react to the burning refractory bricks, sunlight, or lighting in the combustion chamber.
The flame detector QRA4.U is an aluminum housing with 3/4 "-14NPSM internal threads, used to install the flame detector on a burner or boiler. The connecting wire is approximately 1.8m. The electrical connection end is 1/2" -14NPSM internal thread, and a wire protection sleeve is required.
